Everything you need to know about Campus Conversations
Campus Conversations™ is a national youth peacebuilding initiative empowering university students to lead dialogue, foster unity, and transform diversity into strength across Nigerian campuses. Through structured training, dialogue hubs, and national convenings, we nurture peace leaders committed to building bridges across differences.
The programme is open to students and youth in tertiary institutions across Nigeria who are passionate about intercultural dialogue, leadership, and social impact, and are willing to commit to peacebuilding activities on their campuses.
No, there is no application fee. Campus Conversations™ is completely free for all selected participants. We cover the costs of training materials, the in-person bootcamp, and programme activities.
We will select 50 students for the 1-week virtual dialogue programme. From this cohort, 25 outstanding participants will advance to the 1-day in-person Peace Leadership Bootcamp.
Applications opened on December 22nd, 2025. We review applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage early submission.
You'll need to provide personal information, details about your academic institution, and answer questions about your motivation, experience, and commitment to peacebuilding. The online application takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
Your application will be reviewed by our selection committee. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and may be invited for a brief interview. Final selections will be announced, and accepted participants will receive detailed programme information.
Once submitted, applications cannot be edited. Please review all information carefully before submitting. If you need to make significant changes, contact us at youthforpeace@presspay.ng.
The programme has three phases: (1) Student Peace Leadership Training (1-week virtual + 1-day in-person bootcamp), (2) Campus Dialogue Hubs across six geopolitical zones, and (3) National Student Peace Summit bringing together all stakeholders.
You'll gain practical peace leadership and dialogue facilitation skills, learn about global peacebuilding frameworks, develop intercultural communication abilities, and build networks with peers across Nigeria. You'll also learn conflict resolution techniques and how to lead campus peace initiatives.
It's a hybrid programme. The initial training is 1 week virtual (online), followed by a 1-day in-person bootcamp for the top 25 participants. Campus Dialogue Hubs and the National Peace Summit involve in-person activities in your region.
Yes! Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a Certificate of Completion and recognition as peace leaders in the national Youth for Peace movement.
Campus Dialogue Hubs are regional centers across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones where trained peace leaders facilitate peace forums, storytelling sessions, and student-led intercultural conversations on their campuses.
The virtual training requires 2-3 hours daily for one week. The in-person bootcamp is a full day. After training, you'll be expected to lead or participate in dialogue activities on your campus (flexible schedule, estimated 3-5 hours monthly).
The bootcamp date will be announced in advance to allow participants to plan accordingly. If you have genuine constraints, please inform us early, and we'll explore options. However, full participation is strongly encouraged for maximum impact.
Yes! Final-year students are welcome. You can continue contributing to peacebuilding even after graduation through our alumni network and as ambassadors in your communities or workplaces.
